There are only a couple ways to learn how to trade stocks, bonds, futures, e-minis, and FOREX like a rock star plays his guitar.

Step 1: Don't Make the Same Mistakes I Made (at first)...

          I learned fundamental analysis and technical analysis from a company called "Investools". They are a great company, but I have a personality that does not lend to learning from books and online videos, so the road was pretty rocky at times. I thought their hotel conferences and coaching staff (available via phone) would be enough, but I found myself struggling to understand. It took me two years and cost me a lot of money before I became a consistently good trader. I know I would have been a better performing trader a lot sooner if I had attended one of Online Trading Academy's 30 schools located all across the US or one of their schools in London, Dubai, and Singapore.

Step 2: The Next Step... A FREE Power Trading Workshop

          It doesn't matter whether you spent 20 years trading stock and options for Oppenheimer or you just finished your first year of trading after finishing a whirl-wind course online. Becoming an expert trader who can seemlessly transition from stocks to options to e-minis to FOREX is something that only a very few people are willing to teach you. Step 3: A Walk to Remember... A Humble Walk to Remember

          I strongly encourage: Even if you don't think the introductory course is for you, it is usually worth it for you to get on the same page as everyone else if you are going to complete your study with Online Trading Academy. The good news? You generally get a really good deal on the introductory course if you attend a FREE Power Trading Workshop. The depth and speed that OTA will expect you to work at will be difficult to keep up with unless you have extensive experience with TradeStation and ThinkOrSwim trading platforms. (TradeStation is used for Stocks, Bonds, Futures, & FOREX. ThinkOrSwim is used for Options.)

Step 4: Know Where You Want to Go & Your Major Concerns

          If you are on your way to becoming an advanced professional trader, you are probably identifying a few risk factors that seem to be the 900 pound gorilla in the room. Here are some of the risks and concerns I identified that OTA has helped me with:

1) Currency Risk: What happens to my net worth if the United States' debt instruments (T-Bills, T-Notes, etc) get rated down? What currency trading strategy will keep me safe in that environment until the debt instruments and the dollar recover?
2) Trade Risk: As the US Stock Market becomes increasingly co-dependent on foreign stock markets and starts reacting with greater volatility to international news, how can I protect myself from unexpected losses after hours without trading over-priced after-hours stocks?
3) Hedging: How can I hedge my investments in light of recent increases in natural disasters? How can I hedge my overseas investments as terrorist attacks become more common in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East? Am I prepared to hedge my investments quickly in the event of another terrorist attack in the US?
4) Leverage: Have I been leveraging my assets to best take advantage of flat and downtrending stocks I own? Have I been leveraging my cash positions to take advantage of short-term positions?
5) Cramerica: I want to learn enough so I'll never be tempted to listen to this one-day-behind-the-market advice again. Ideally, I'd like to learn how to take advantage of the volatility that this commentator's picks create for my own financial gain.
